Computer Usage for Teachers
BPC 110 has truly helped me learn new applications and software that I will in fact utilize in the future as a teacher. PowerPoint Presentation, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access will be helpful to better explain and deliver information to my students. Also, I plan on teaching my students these programs and they will use these applications for their homework and project assignments. I truly appreciate technology in the classroom because it will guide me to become a great teacher. Also, a website I found to be extremely helpful for me as a future educator is www.Eduslide.net, this website helps build lesson plans, and show community posts. Being able to see different ideas and methods for the same subjects I would teach could bring me a fresh perspective on how I could present information to my class. Another site I very much appreciated was www.teachertube.com because this involves full videos of lesson plans, organization and management in a classroom, and wonderful ideas for new subjects.

Word Processing Working with Microsoft Word was exciting to me because it is heavily utilized daily as a student and a teacher. My favorite projects consisted of me forming documents as if I were a teacher. This document in particular is an example of a letter I would write in the future to my students' parents for our school's open house or parent-teacher conferences.

Graphic Presentation Using PowerPoint Presentation I was able to create my education process to becoming a teacher and my goals for teaching. PointPoint is fresh and creative way to display new information to an audience, compared to printed reports.

Workbooks and Worksheets This timeline using Excel is a worksheet exhibiting my path of education over the years. Excel is a very convenient application for teachers because any workbooks can be created for attendance, or grade inputs.

Databases Creating databases with Access was challenging for me, but rewarding. This program exhibits organization through different reports. Also, queries or questions for the reports and tables are quite interesting. The two documents I have displayed examplify students' textbook logs. This is almost as if I were a textbook distributor or as a teacher my textbook logs needed for my class.
